This has been the second opportunity Hybrid Design has enjoyed working with the team at Richpower (the first being the “Picklestick” project you can see on our product page). Richpower has recently released a line of 12V lithium ion tools and is already looking to their future. They asked us to create design concepts for a potential future 24V line of tools including the circular saw and string trimmer you see below. We look forward to seeing these on the market sometime soon!

It’s super to go back and work with the the growing team at CCi (CCi was Rusty’s previous employer), who contracted us to be involved with the research and to create the ergonomic, interface, and aesthetic design for the components unique to the new backpack paint system. This is a new product category for Ryobi and this is one of the first of the new line of Ryobi paint sprayers to be released this year.

We have recently had the pleasure of working with Dr. Brent Nelsen who is running for Governor of South Carolina in the 2010 elections. Hybrid has been responsible for branding his campaign identity and developing the www.brentnelsen.com website from the ground up. We will be continuing to work with the campaign throughout the year to develop new content for the website and assist in video production / editing for the Jobs for the Future Tour Dr. Nelsen is launching this summer. A quick turn around and frantic pace was required to complete this video in the clients one week timeframe. We teamed up with Brad Sitton of Blister Studio to create an animated, visual timeline of DC Shoes’ 14 year history. An exciting project to work on and a great client to work with. Big thanks to Phil for his efforts on the DC side to make this all happen. Looking forward to that snowboard…

The first in a new line of set top boxes by Hybrid Design hits the market in South America. We were contracted by Rival Industries, the creators of the on-screen UI of set top boxes and Digital Video Recorders for NagraVision, to develop and design the housings for a new line of Set Top Boxes. This is the first of the new line and is the introductory level model, with higher end and more functionally advanced models on the way. It’s been a great experience working with Rival and NagraVision, who sent us with their team to several manufacturing facilities in China to both understand their capabilities more fully and to work with the manufacturers to improve the quality of the product.
